Campfire Night Was a Roaring Success

by Jan Jorns Sunday evening, October 9, the Turon Community Library held a Campfire Night for local kids from the 3rd to 6th grades.  We had a great time.  The kids enjoyed playing games including volleyball and cornhole.  We then got out the roasting sticks and roasted hotdogs and made s’more, then we made some more s’mores–the s’mores were a real hit.  We then told a few stories–the stories were a little scary, but not too scary.  The stories included  “The Tailypo”, told by Joanna Galdone, a legend about a man who lived deep in the Big Woods who was… Continue Reading Campfire Night Was a Roaring Success

Come support our Halloween Open House Volunteers are needed for our Trunk or Treat at our Halloween Open House on October 31st from 5-7pm. You may arrive at Turon Community Library (501 E Price) starting at 12pm to set up.
